Clients often seek treatment for mental health problems with little understanding of either their diagnosis or the best treatment options for addressing their concerns. Intended for clinicians from psychiatry, psychology, social work, and other regulated mental health roles, this session presents the evidence-based counselling and basic pharmacological interventions for a range of mental health conditions, discussing the diagnostic criteria and treatments for depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, posttraumatic stress and substance use.
